How Donations Flow to At-Risk Children
Your opportunity to give underprivileged kids the same opportunities other children enjoy.
Let's Give Them a Shot, the non-profit organization that Coach Derek Locklear started in 2004 to provide athletic instruction and equipment to kids in at-risk neighborhoods, is expanding the program to go into even more schools and recreation centers.
The vision for the program is to teach fundamental sports instruction in Basketball, Soccer and Baseball to children age 5-12 in areas where the children would otherwise not have the means to participate in this type of class.
We are working closely with community leaders in different Los Angeles County cities to offer these classes directly in the community: Celerity Education Group, The Girls Club of L.A., A Place Called Home, Bethel AME, 186th Street Elementary School, Manhattan Place Elementary School, to name a few! We need funding to provide coaches and equipment to these groups.
